The Perfectstroke Premium Package combines the Perfectstroke Putting Aid with the Perfectstroke Aim Index Pro, creating a comprehensive putting training system that helps golfers accurately determine where to aim on breaking putts and then execute the putt with confidence.

The package includes your choice of two Stimp speed options: 9 & 10, 11 & 12, or 13 & 14. This allows players to adjust for varying green speeds and practice under conditions that closely match those encountered on the golf course.

By practising putts from set distances, slope percentages, and green speeds, players develop valuable knowledge and experience regarding how much putts actually break and where they need to aim. Perfectstroke Aim Index Pro

The Perfectstroke Aim Index Pro has been designed for tour professionals and elite amateur players where scoring performance matters most.

The Aim Index Pro uses a clock-face reference system, with the Zero Break Line running from 12 o’clock to 6 o’clock.

• A putt from the 12 o’clock position is downhill.
• A putt from the 6 o’clock position is uphill.
• Putts positioned to the right of the 6 o’clock line break from right to left.
• A 5 o’clock putt is uphill with a slight right-to-left break.
• A 2 o’clock putt breaks right to left with a downhill component.
• Putts from the 10 o’clock position will typically experience the greatest amount of break.

The Aim Index Pro is available in both imperial and metric versions. Distances are displayed in feet or metres, while the recommended aim points are shown in inches or millimetres respectively.

Phantom Cup Function

The Perfectstroke Aim Index Pro can also be used as a phantom cup, allowing players to create practice situations with slopes ranging from 0.5% to 3%.

Players may also position the Aim Index over an existing hole, aligned to the Zero Break Line, to establish the appropriate clock-face reference positions for practice.

Using the Perfectstroke Aim Index Pro with the Perfectstroke Putting Aid

Before incorporating the Aim Index Pro into practice, players should be competent at holing straight putts on level ground using the Perfectstroke Putting Aid. Ideally, the player should already have determined the correct alignment strip position for their putter and setup.

When faced with a breaking putt, the player should:

1. Use the Aim Index Pro to determine the correct aim point.
2. Align the Perfectstroke Putting Aid to the recommended target.
3. Aim the alignment strip directly at that point.
4. Make the stroke exactly as they would for a straight putt.

This process simplifies the challenge of breaking putts by allowing players to focus on making a consistent stroke toward a precisely calculated target.

Understanding Slope Measurement

One of the key advantages of the Perfectstroke Aim Index Pro is that only one slope measurement is required—the fall line, or Zero Break Line.

There is no need to estimate or measure side slope separately. The clock-face system automatically accounts for the side-slope component, making the process faster, simpler, and more accurate.

Determining the Correct Aim

After selecting the Aim Index Pro that matches the green speed being practised, the player can either choose an existing hole or use the Aim Index itself as a phantom cup.

Uniform Slopes

If the area surrounding the hole has a consistent slope, the player simply measures or estimates the slope percentage and then refers to the Aim Index Pro. Using the green speed, slope percentage, putt distance, and clock-face position, the correct aim point can be determined.

Variable Slopes

If the slope around the hole is not uniform, the player only needs to estimate or measure the average slope between the ball position and the hole. This information can then be used to determine the appropriate aim point.

Aim References

All numerical aim references in both the metric and imperial versions are measured from either the left or right edge of the hole.

For shorter putts where the recommended aim point remains inside the width of the hole, the following abbreviations are used:

• LE – Left Edge
• RE – Right Edge
• IL – Inside Left
• IR – Inside Right
• CL – Centre Left
• CR – Centre Right

Aim calculations are based on a holing speed that would finish approximately 200–400 mm (8–15 inches) past the hole.
